Quote from the book:

"In the gospels we don’t see that Jesus laughed, though in the book of Hebrews we read that He was:   “Anointed with the oil of gladness above his fellows.”  However, we do see that He entered into the sorrow of others for we read in John 11:35 that even though Jesus knew He would raise Lazarus from the dead, nonetheless He wept over the sorrow of Lazarus’ sisters, Mary and Martha, who were grieving over the death of their brother.  Later on, we read in Luke 19:41 that Jesus wept over the city of Jerusalem because He knew the judgment that would come upon the people for rejecting Him.  Jesus also shared in the joys of others as seen in His first miracle of turning water into wine at the wedding in Cana."
